We will take projects further into the realm of possibility.

Cooking with Emily (Grades 1-2) Thursday 2:00-3:30 pm
Last school year we enjoyed many delicious creations often focused on seasonal produce- some favorites that we often reminisced about include fresh spring rolls, strawberry shortcake, egg in a nest, kale chips, green smoothies and mashed potatoes with herb butter.  We also created a cookbook that all students took home to share with their families. You can find a school copy in the office.

Gardening with Emily (Grades 1-2) Tuesdays 2:05-3:35 pm
The school’s Wildcat Garden, overlooking the campus with beautiful vistas of the hills and bay, is an inspiring natural setting for young gardeners. Students can expect the following learning experiences, tailored for age: seed propagation & seasonal planting cycles; garden maintenance (weeding, soil preparation, cover crops, composting); harvesting; and… tasting produce! There will be creative playtime in the “wild” garden space, purposeful garden work, stories and songs, art and craft projects, and vigorous physical activity.
