Here is what I'm doing now:
I intend to pursue music as much as possible. Right now I'm taking classes at the Jazzschool in Berkeley (www.jazzschool.com) in preparation for a possible Jazz major. Although my intention is to become a singer, I will need some very basic keyboard skills, and i need to brush up on my theory.
I developed a connection to the Berkeley Jazzschool through my 11th grade internship. It was there that I met my friend/mentor Sara Klotz de Aguilar. Her band, Sara & Swingtime, backed me on my senior project CD "Vintage Jazz." Somehow, I ran out of time and was unable to give them credit on my CD. I would like to encourage everyone to google them, attend their performances and buy their albums. They really are an excellent band and it was a honor to sing with them.
I will put up a website (soon, I hope) where you will be given an opportunity to buy my CD and hear about any and all future performances. If you know anyone who might be able to give me a leg up, has a band that needs a singer or would like to have me perform, I would be absolutely thrilled.
It's infamously difficult to survive as a musician. Employment, for the most part, depends on shamelessly aggressive self-advertisement and a reputation for bringing in an audience. I would be personally grateful to anyone who comes to support me at any venue I can find.
On August 7th, 2008, I'm invited to sing three songs at a 12:oo (noon) concert outside the downtown Berkeley Bart station. The concert is featuring myself and two other gifted Jazzschool (vocal) students. There will be a professional trio backing us.

I'm living in Oakland, singing, gardening, cooking and enjoying nature when I can, and working hard on two main projects. Ever since graduating from college I've been involved in radio. In 2002, I started the outLoud Radio Project for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth and their allies (www.outloudradio.org). I'm still the director of outLoud and love seeing it (and the young folks I work with) thrive. I also work with SoundVision Productions, which produces science-related documentaries and websites and trains reporters how to cover science. I see my parents and sister often and value them greatly. Ever since Waldorf I've been making music, and since college I've sung mostly Renaissance and earlier music with semi-professional and professional choirs. I'll always be grateful to Waldorf for encouraging my well-roundedness.

Each summer for the past six years I've worked on the Parade the Circle celebration at the Cleveland Museum of Art. I make floats, giant puppets, masks; both my own designs and helping and teaching the public. Hannah and I are just finishing a show at a local art gallery. My pieces there are lamps made from found wood and metal and handmade paper. We're on the verge of buying a house near downtown.

Karolyn W. 5 / 4 / 07
I graduated from twelfth grade at EBWS in 2005
My class teacher/sponsor was Bobak, then Renate, then Seth
The college I chose to go to is Humboldt State University
Here is what I'm doing now:
Woo! Life is awesome! Living at Humboldt is amazing! I am currently playing the trumpet in the Advanced Jazz Orchestra on campus (they all loved hearing about how my eleventh grade played jazz charts with bagpips--thx Dustin!) I am currently a Dance Major with an emphasis in Arts Integration, and a Minor in Music (meaning I'm simultaneously a music and theater nerd). I am hoping to minor in Communications and German, as well. I am choreographing for and dancing in our college's belly dance teacher's professional Middle Eastern dance troupe, "Ya Habibi!". This (Sophomore) year, I founded and directed a non-profit program that helps bring quality art education to kids in elementary schools that have poorly funded arts and music departments. We are trying to share some of the love and passion for these areas of education we have been blessed to have in our lives with kids that might not get the opportunity! Yay!
I am going to be dancing at a jazz and ballet festival in Barcelona this summer, and will be attending University of Massachusettes at Amherst next Fall (near Elana!) to dance in the 5-Colleges dance program there. (I'm also working as a National Park tour guide again..which really relates to dancing...this summer in the Sierras (come visit!....I worked underground as a Cave tour guide last summer) Currenty, four girlfriends and I live in a rural part of Humboldt County next door to some baby cows, an organic farm, and the ocean, which is beautiful!
O.K. I think I wrote way too much...anyway...waldorf prepared me immensely for life after high school, and college has been very rewarding!
I am thankful for and love you all!

The college I chose to go to is University of Puget Sound
Here is what I'm doing now:
I am currently finishing up my second year here at the University of Puget Sound. So far so good it seems. I'll be spending next year studying abroad in England at Lancaster University. I am a double major in English and Philosophy and am absolutely loving them both. The plan at this point is to explore law school upon graduation. Other possibilities include grad school leading into a college professor type career. There is, of course, always my original idea of becoming a Waldorf high school teacher. We'll just have to see I suppose.

Arewik K. 10 / 25 / 06
I graduated from twelfth grade at EBWS in 2006
My class teacher/sponsor was Michael K. / Greg Nottage
Here is what I'm doing now:
Spending first year of college at New York
University in Florence, Italy, studying Italian language, art and culture.
I really enjoy living in Firenze (Florence). We are
starting to fit in, being mistaken for natives instead of tourists. Almost
everywhere I go, I want to pretend I am a photographer: the small cobblestone
streets, the piazza's lit up at night, the golden evening sun filtering
through the olive trees on campus...
My classes are not that exciting at the moment -almost a repetition of high
school except not really as good or as deep. My social foundations class
reminds me of Mr. Mancini (one of the original founders of the high school),
and my cultural class is essentially art, which reminds me of Ms. Cargill.
Both classes relate to every course Ms. O'Neill has ever taught my class
- I wish I had known so I could have brought my old notes because they covered
so much more, especially the Rome through Renaissance class...
