Recall the carefree summers of your childhood
Wildcat Camp strives to create that experience of summer by providing an old-fashioned rhythm of activities. The days are filled with guided activities such as singing, handcrafts, art and nature walks, yet there is plenty of time for the children to explore, to create, to dream. Some days will find the children in the garden, sowing seeds or harvesting vegetables for their wholesome snack. They will eat their lunches in a picnic style beneath trees. See our campus slideshow.
Native American Traditions
Come join our tribe! Circle up, give thanks and sing! We’ll play tracking and skill games, create bead work, basketry, weave stories and clay work reminiscent of Native American Traditions. Learn simple, healthy and delicious recipes to make at camp and home.
Hiking and Nature Walks
The natural world of Wildcat Canyon is ever ready to engage and embrace us. Foster awareness and stewardship of the 2,429 acre land by exploring the wonders of the Wildcat Canyon forest through imaginary play, story, arts and Sustainable Biodynamic Gardening, Clay Modeling, Woodworking, crafts and song. Have fun creating tepees, huts and forts of all sizes. Let your child’s imagination dwell in group-made “debris huts” or magical, miniature homes created for fairies and gnomes.
Music for Everyone
This fun and relaxing camp will cover all the “camp classics,” including traditional camp songs accompanied by home-made instruments to form a merry band.
Games Galore
Enjoy movement and fun with cross-cultural games. Jump into old time favorites such as capture the flag, relay races, 3-legged races, water balloon toss and MORE! Explore new favorites from around the world that encourage cooperation and team building.
Join us on our eleven acres of land overlooking the fields, forests, streams, frog ponds and gardens of Wildcat Canyon. Nourish your children’s inherent connection to nature and enliven their intrinsic sense of Wonder.
