Thank you for your interest in the East Bay Waldorf School. To fully appreciate our school and the Waldorf curriculum, please plan to visit our rural 11 acre campus.  We are nestled in the hills above El Sobrante, adjacent to Wildcat Canyon, and only a few minutes from Highway 80.  Please contact Jodi Casey to schedule a tour of the school.

We look forward to meeting you.

Admissions Process

  1. School Tour: The first step in the admissions process is to schedule a tour of the school. Tours will be tailored to address your interests and questions and will give you an introduction to Waldorf education.

  2. Application Submittal: The East Bay Waldorf School has a rolling admissions policy. We accept applications throughout the year for consideration when space becomes available.   The application is not considered complete until we have received the following documents:

    • The completed application,

    • At least one completed confidential teacher recommendation form,

    • A complete set of transcripts sent by your child’s current school.  (Please complete and sign the Release of Records Form prior to submitting it to your child’s current school.),

    • The $75 application fee.

  3. Admissions Interview: Once an application has been reviewed and the applicant is deemed a qualified candidate, the parents will be contacted to schedule an interview with the appropriate teacher.

  4. Student Admissions Visit: Subsequent to the admissions interview, the student being considered may be invited to spend three to five days visiting in the appropriate class. We understand this might seem excessive, but students often relax enough only by the third day for us to see who they truly are as individuals.

  5. Notification of Acceptance: Parents are notified of the admission decision within one week of the classroom visit.

  6. Return of all enrollment forms and payment of the deposit finalizes the application process.
