Financial Aid
Reductions in tuition are based on an independent assessment of a family's expected financial contribution. The Financial Aid Committee balances what assistance is requested with what the school can accommodate financially. Financial aid allocations are made for one school year only. A new application is required each school year since family circumstances and the school's financial aid budget change annually. Financial need is determined according to the guidelines and formulae established by the FACTS Grants & Assessment system, using Adjusted Gross Income on the federal tax return as a basis for the expected family financial contribution.
Every application requires the completion of the Parents’ Financial Statement ("PFS") via FACTS (https://online.factsmgt.com) in addition to the forms described in the Financial Aid Process, below. Financial aid applications will be processed after a family has completed the financial application process and the admissions process.
See Financial Aid Process below for important deadlines.

You are welcome to apply for financial aid if you have entered the enrollment process after the aforementioned dates. However, there is no guarantee that financial aid will be available.
Other Financial Aid Opportunities
East Bay Waldorf School students have applied for and received tuition assistance from other scholarship programs. Links to these programs are provided below. We recommend that applicants contact these programs directly as soon as possible as each one has unique criteria, processes and deadlines.
The Guardsmen Scholarship Program
The BASIC Fund is a good source for additional tuition assistance; several of our students received assistance from them for the 2012-13 school year. If you have a new student attending our school for the first time (this includes siblings of already registered students), you are eligible to apply for assistance from the BASIC Fund. Their deadline for applying is February 8, 2013 with secondary deadlines on March 8 and April 8. Since the BASIC Fund awards assistance on a first-come, first-served basis, we strongly recommend meeting the February 8 deadline. Currently enrolled families already receiving assistance will get renewal applications in March.
