This delightful program is a great way for young children to step into a little more independence, while still allowing the parent and child some class time together. They have a longer day than they did in our Sweet Pea classes and get to know the preschool teacher, classroom, and rhythms. To begin, all parents are present with their child, like parent-child class. After a few weeks, the parents begin to rotate into work supporting the classroom and all of the children, not just their own, similar to a co-op model. Self-toileting is not a requirement for entrance into the class but is encouraged as part of class. There is also a focus on educating parents about child development and the Waldorf philosophy of the young child. The Bridge class will take place in our main building in the Apple Blossom Preschool classroom, and is taught by the EBWS Preschool Director, Peggy Waterhouse. Teacher Peggy has 30+ years of experience working with young children and their families through Waldorf pedagogy, and is currently the the lead teacher in our 3-Day Preschool program.
This program is a wonderful way to transition for the young child that plans to attend Preschool in the Spring or following Fall.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have more questions, or sign up for one of our very limited spaces into this special program.
