Admissions
The East Bay Waldorf School welcomes students of any color, race, gender, or sexual orientation, and all ethnic, national, cultural, social or religious backgrounds.
Admissions events such as School Tours, Open Houses, and the Mornings in the Kindergarten enable prospective parents and guardians to learn about our school. Request an information packet by contacting the Admissions Office. K-8 School Tours are scheduled on alternate Thursdays throughout the year. Please refer to the Tour Schedule for more information.
Young Child Program
Sweet Pea classes for parents and young children under four years of age are available in two semesters throughout the school year. Classes meet on Mondays and Fridays and are taught by early childhood specialists, Birthe Kaarsholm, Gabriela Gerlach and Bonnie Romanow. Read more
Kindergarten
After attending a school tour, parents of kindergarten-age children sign up for a Morning in the Kindergarten, held on several Saturday mornings and at the open houses during the school year. Childcare for prospective kindergarten children is available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. Read more
Grade School
Once a school tour and/or open house has been attended, parents and guardians submit an application, and an interview is scheduled. The school's educational philosophy and expectations are discussed with the parents. Children applying to grades two through eight usually visit their prospective classes for three to five days. Tuition
Tuition and fees cover all costs except some class trips, food, after school care, bus transportation, extracurricular progams, music lessons, and minor incidental costs. Tuition is assessed on an annual basis. Tuition and Enrollment Schedules for the Grade School (K-8) are included in information packets, listing tuition amounts for the coming year once they have been announced, along with sibling discounts and other enrollment information.
