The Faculty and Staff of the East Bay Waldorf School

The East Bay Waldorf School has a staff of dedicated and talented teachers who are committed to the underlying principles of Waldorf education. Nearly all of the school's teachers are Waldorf-trained or are currently enrolled in Waldorf training. Among these, all lead kindergarten teachers and lower school class teachers have completed their Waldorf training. Anthroposophy provides the picture of child development that the Waldorf curriculum addresses. There is much accumulated experience and creative skill within our faculty and staff.

The faculty and staff work together in an atmosphere which values individual differences while striving for common educational goals. The faculty determines policies and procedures related to the educational programs and daily administration of the school.

The school supports the professional development of the teachers in a variety of ways. New teachers are provided an experienced, in-house mentor. Every year, the school invites exceptional, long-time Waldorf teachers to visit. These master teachers work in groups and individually with the teachers at the school in a mentoring capacity.
